Researchers at Indiana University recently found that chocolate milk beat out other sports drinks when it came to helping athletes recover from intense workouts. This study could mark a sea change in sports marketing, as well as, what we see athletes drinking during gametime.
"When you play sports, it's essential that your bones and muscles are strong," says Stephanie Brooks, MS RD and founder Bay Area Nutrition. "Chocolate milk does this best."
I can see some of the great commercials now. And, imagine football coaches getting a chocolate milk bath instead of the Gatorade shower? That would make some for some good tv.
